BritBox: What is it?

From time to time, I will be taking a look at what streaming services are available to have alongside your Freeview or Freesat.

This time around I am going to take a look at Britbox.

What is Britbox?

Britbox is a digital subscription service that was created by the BBC and ITV, to bring the best of British programs from the past, present and future.

It has a wide variety of programmes to watch from drama, to classic comedy, true crime documentaries and much, much more.

British programs are available to watch in one place, for the bargain price of £5.99 per month.

                                                                                                          Britbox

So what's the catch?

Quite simply, there isn't one.  What you see is what you get, and more.
As well as BBC and ITV programmes from the past, present and future, there are also contributions from Channel 4, Channel 5 and Film4.

                                                                                                          BBC

Are there any new programmes on Britbox?

Yes there are new programmes available, in the form of 'Britbox Originals', brand new content that has been specifically created for the digital streaming platform.

How can I watch Britbox?

You can access Britbox in many ways, via the internet, mobile, tablet, connected TVs and streaming devices such as Fire TV, Apple Tv, FreeSat, Chromecast and Roku.

If you have amazon prime membership you can access it as an added channel.

Can I download programmes to watch offline?

Yes content can be downloaded and viewed offline where rights allow.

I can thoroughly recommend this addition to any type of television viewing whether you just have Freeview or Sky, it doesn't really matter...I watch it for its classic dramas, comedy and it even its new productions.

So whether you like classic comedy, such as The Good Life or Only Fools and Horses, or maybe you like costume dramas such as Sanditon, then you can't go wrong.

So give it a try...
