Killing Eve Series 4

 Killing Eve

The long anticipated fourth and final series of Killing Eve is to hit screens on Monday 28th February.

Killing Eve is based on Luke Jennings' 'Villanelle' novel series, and combines the genres of Spy thriller and Drama with a very liberal smattering of black humour.

Returning to play the main characters in this award winning BBC television series, are Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw.

If you have not watched the three previous series, they are currently available to watch on BBC iplayer.

The story so far is simple to follow.....

Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) works for British Intelligence in a protection role, something she has become extremely bored with.

She turns her interests to female assassins, their psychology and their methods of assassination.

When her obsessive behaviour results in her being fired from MI5, she is recruited by Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw) who is head of a secret division in MI6, who are chasing an international assassin, who calls herself Villanelle (Jodie Comer).

Eve becomes obsessed with Villanelle and realises that people within both of their working circles are connected.

Both Eve and Villanelle become obsessed with one another and what they need to discover, rather than the jobs they have been tasked with.

The sexual tension between these two is palpable, and helps us, the audience become submerged into their lives.

The locations in this series are stunning, and a wide variety of countries have been used, including Paris, Berlin, Tuscany, London and Bucharest, to name but a few.

Killing Eve has received several accolades, including Best Actress Awards for both Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, and a Best Supporting Actress Award for Fiona Shaw.

Killing Eve has received continued success and critical acclaim for both Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer in their leading roles, and it does make you wonder, that when series 4 does come to an end what the BBC will find to fill, the Villanelle sized hole.

So remember to tune in on Monday 28th February at 9 p.m.
